Hard News: The flagging referendum, in reply to
So its another few decades of a confused colonial symbol for me/us is expect.
Why decades? As Labour and Greens(?) have always been keen with public approval and with a proper process, for a flag change, I submit we could be up against change pretty soon, once a good design is agreed on, and because it seems to be understood why this alternative isn't popular, if we use the information gleaned from these referenda, we could cheaply continue the process in a few years to make positive change ,not negative change.
For example, Tino and Hundertwasser flags have been given time on the benches and not bulldozed through to replace the current one. Perhaps the same could be done with new options without the expense? -

Fairfax still trying to grow their own Steve Braunias.
A tad insulting to Steve Braunias ;) TV 3 at it again. I think since Jono and Ben shifted time slots, it deteriorated and Guy Williams really is their shock jock and that's all but he does insult MPs equally. I guess the TV format portrays that better than print. The clickbait shit really does annoy me in what's supposed to be our biggest newspapers. And also, 7 days starts with a plug for Dai Henwoods show on 3 with one on the panel recently being lambasted by Corbett for suggesting Joyce was a fuckwit. So I figure the new format is ' make the audience laugh at the expense of others '? Or they are just catering to the lowest common denominator, lager louts or John key fans, same, same.

“Almost immediately afterwards, we were told our mental health funding had been cut.”
Fucking disgusting, to put it politely.
I firmly believe if the people and their homes had been the priority, the rest of the CBD and its changes would have been positive. Instead there are some people trying to move on with day to day stuff around others who are stuck in limbo. That itself must be quite unsettling for everyone and to consider cutting funding at times like that is bordering on criminal. The longer people are left behind because Convention center, the longer it will take to heal and it will become the epitaph as being more important than the people it’s supposed to benefit. It’s bollocks. It angers me and I don’t even live there but I was born there . My Dad brought Mums ashes back to AK because he felt she couldn't rest there anymore. That made him sad.

Hard News: Helen Kelly's letter, in reply to
Hi Sushila, how is Alisha ? I read she improved dramatically. Do you think sativex could be an alternative way over epilepsy drugs like Tegretol ? One drug I would love to eventually eliminate from my life. Anyway glad to read you got sativex. Kia kaha.

Even if every single box had been ticked and every single minutiae had been covered they would have bounced this application back.
Same with my Doctors application for a surgery. Sent back as insuffficient and once we pushed it straight back to them with one minor detail, my wish was granted.
