  • bmk,

Mail client works fine. If I open in new tab it just takes me to top of page. It used to work so I must have broken it with my ad-blocking. I think I will make this site the one exception where I let ads run. Provided there is no flash of course:)

Yep - now it works. For some reason the ad-blocking killed the reply functionality.

Some would say that ad blocking is theft. The owner of the site, that you want to visit, may get some recompense for you seeing that ad.

Or a form of consumer vigilantism, if you're browsing a site that makes shit up and passes it off as news.

This took an interesting turn in the last US presidential elections when some Democrat supports wrote scripts to repeatedly click on the McCain on-line ads with the aim of draining money from his campaign.

That type of gaming of the system doesn't really sit right with me but am happy blocking ads on web pages as I see this as no different to using a DVR to avoid watching ads, or fast-forwarding through ads on old-fashioned VHS.
