Sci-fi high

Good news, everyone. Science fiction is coming. That’s if you haven’t already downloaded it from teh internets, put it on a flash drive and played it on your 32-inch widescreen LCD TV via your PS3. Ahem. What I mean to say is that season three of Battlestar Galactica starts tomorrow night on C4; TV2 is finally screening Torchwood; and the latest season of Doctor Who starts on Prime on Sunday; you may have seen the Christmas special starring Kylie, Voyage of the Damned.

Add this to Chuck, the season of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles that just finished, Smallville and Stargate Atlantis and it’s not bad, if not exactly the Sci-fi channel. Also, C4 has got The Office, 30 Rock, The Mighty Boosh, The Sarah Silverman Program and Skins either returning or new, plus it’s playing the Battlestar Galactica webisodes, which connect seasons two and three. And again with the Battlestar, another TV movie like Razor has apparently been greenlit.

Meanwhile, please amuse yourself with this fantastic load of fun from our favourite television genius, which might tide us over until Dollhouse begins in 2009. Some nice video here and here; Wikipedia has plenty of info, cast (Tahmoh Penikett from Battlestar, Amy Acker too!) and links here.

All this excitement is somewhat ameliorated by my disappointment at the final ep of Bones last night. What a crock. Logical, Asperger’s Zack a killer? I don’t think so. And as much as I like seeing David Boreanaz in a bath, smoking a cigar and wearing a beer can hat, there was quite a lot of lightheartedness to go with the fact that they were looking for a killer among them. Bah.

So being on holiday means you get to goof off and write blogs. My mission: watch everything on the PVR. Well, maybe. I’ll let you know.
