Where is Ashley Peacock now?
Still expensively stuck in that dire prison, according to the select committee's annual review of that DHB.

Thanks Sacha, I suspected as much. Now the clinician is denying that he is effectively in isolation. There is no denying that the man is imprisoned without trial and his "treatment" has made his mental health much worse.

Just imagine the purpose built house and 24/7 care in the community he could have had for this amount of money.

What might have been? But look at what is being perpetrated with our money, your taxes and mine, what an abuse!

Another recent case I missed of a disabled person being punished by the system for her region's lack of accessible housing.

I keep coming back to these threads and I can never quite find the words to express the disgust I feel about this discriminatory dehumanisation. Where is the groundswell of support? where is the full scale media coverage beyond damage control? Where is the compassion? What happened to our country? As the state systemically pushes the most marginalised people – human beings – to the wall and then right on through it.
