  • JacksonP,

Excellent Jonathan. Thanks for putting this together, and the great intro.

Figure this is kind of a post about music, so...

    What?
    No Dezo Hoffman,

A great sampler. I have to return to Auckland to see this. The Bow Wow Wow print is surreal, doesn't look 31 years old - and those snakes in the grass are by the way absolutely free!

  • Martin Lindberg,

    <sigh> I miss Lux.

Seeing The Cramps live was always a totally wild experience. Just seeing that photo makes me want to chug a bottle of cheap red straight down.

Who shot Radiohead? This is all I got from the stands. Was a good night, but was left wanting more. Which is fine with a good dinner, not so much with the band you’ve been waiting to see since 1995.

Was very happy to see Pyramid Song played live, and also thought this sounded good loud.

  • Jonathan Ganley,

Time flies. Overheard last night at the opening:

    Teenager: "Who's that?"
    Parent: "Kurt Cobain"

Anyway, the exhibition is great – almost too much to take in with one visit. It’s surprisingly (to me anyway) big on ‘alternative’ music. Then, once you’re done: exit through the pop-up shop.

  • Danielle,

I am totally CLAPPITY-CLAPPITY about this exhibition and hope to go more than once. Yay!

(I have a fridge magnet of that Elvis photo.)
