Don’t know who did this pruning.

But at the opposite end of the park, there is at least one worker in the temple under very slow construction.

Perhaps belongs in that art on the street thread.... oh well... tag + NB (=niúbī/牛逼*/lit. translation "cow's cunt", meaning "awesome!") + bìyè le! (graduated!). Somebody was glad to see the end of Teaching Building 3.

*interesting that my IME gives me a common character substitution rather than the taboo to the point of almost unknown actual character. I believe the bī, if we're not worried about taboos, should actually be composed of a 尸 (shī; body, corpse) above and down the left side of a 穴 (xué; cave, den, hole).

Frankly, in my 40 years+ of catching & eating the dear wee things – I’ve never found that….

maybe that quality is lost in the filleting process....

    Hope they start running soon!

  • Islander, in reply to Ian Dalziel,

    Dear Elvers Parsley-
one of the reasons I now NEVER eat searun elvers is because it's totally wasteful:
yes, they are delicious BUT - that's an eel that's never going to breed & they are already under pressure as adults...whereas, almost nobody targets adult galaxiids-
good luck with the singing or hamburghering career/s- cheers n/n Islander

  • Jos,

Such lovely words and wonderful photos!

I have had a friend lend me her Lensbaby Scout lens, it's a 17mm fish eye lens with replaceable internal aperture discs to control the depth of focus. I have not bothered to use them and have been shooting with it wide open.
24 hours of quick pics, more to come

Nice Jos - I was just playing with the 'fake' fisheye setting on new camera last night - it is really a function for creating cartoons - I'll have to do better than just distorting my poor cat.....

Updated Lensbaby vid, (it's just getting longer as I add daily pics till I have to give it back) I'm enjoying the silliness of this lens I must admit.

So here is a shot of one of the ugly green plastic dog waste receptacles.

And (for balance) a much more natural looking dog….
