Winter eh? You’d hardly know today.
Glowing gold trees and a watery reflective grid.

    Both photos taken today.
It’s a funny old winter here in Chch. We’ve had snow, floods, 4-degree frosts, and also some 20-degree days…

Well, my wife and daughter went ahead while I did some other stuff, then I caught up with them, and the wee one was indeed shouting "鱼游过来了!" (yú yóu guò lái le, fish swim over here!), then when she saw me she told me "Fish! Fish!"

then when she saw me she told me “Fish! Fish!”

I've been amazed at how universal that is... not a single child under seven has approached the pond in the winter garden without shouting FISH FISH. The best of them then go on to talk to the fish : )

You bet! It doesn't take a lot of water to make a picture - thinking about moving from 'found' puddles to purpose-poured puddles....
