It’s amazing how this canal has improved.

I used to be able to smell my way home.

    Strictly forbidden to climb.

Puddles provide reflective value the world over : )

Not puddles, not reflections, but still winter - little Buddha taking advantage of watery winter sun.

The puddle trick only really works when you crop tight on the puddle or whatever, then turn the image UPSIDE DOWN!

Note to guy who raced ahead of a line of traffic on Dominion Road just now, and another who pulled out of a side street in front of me. Way to drive dudes!

Reflection in my window. Sorry, didn’t flip it upside down. I tried, but it didn’t look anywhere near cool enough.

    hmmm…. sideways.

Alright, here it is upside down.

Hi Jackson, I have read Tolkien quoted as having said of opposing traffic “Charge ’em and they scatter!” which I gather is what you do on a horse! He was a terror to his passengers apparently! Love the image!

Oh, and far out, Chris Waugh!

Rock pools – can’t get away from ’em… More than two worlds encapsulated here, I feel.

Sunny here, too, so not much in the way of puddles to reflect in, but plenty of other surfaces – like the odd pillars either side of the door to this copy shop.

Or somebody’s mobile pollution factory. Why do you need a Range Rover in Beijing? Oh, for me to take photos of.

Or the wall of the dentistry castle.

And here's a pleasant surprise... Yesterday's rain was big enough it left my car clean! Well, clean-ish.

Really? Looks more like it's under fire from a million laser ray guns.

In fact, the Sky Tower is the real bit. Using the time delayed zoom technique. The moon is the interloper. :-)

Damn. Cos I'd just been seeing posts on Weibo of a "supermoon" over Auckland tonight. And I thought maybe you'd scooped the Greens' new problem gambling policy. NZ politics definitely needs more ray guns.

We've been trying a little time travel up here - here's my wee one doing her best 1930s International Settlement.
