  • Kumara Republic, in reply to Aidan,

News sold NDS a couple of weeks ago to CISCO for $5bn – they might be a little pissed about these revelations affecting the value of the business.

Newscorp also helped run Ansett Australia into the ground before it passed the financial timebomb to AirNZ. Pattern, much?

"Bring back Stratos/Triangle - whose disappearance strikes as another murky affair."

Nothing murky about it. Kordia spectrum monopoly charging was very much the cause of the demise of Stratos. Triangle is still going, by the way, plus live streaming online on e-cast TV, Live News and Scoop.

  • Russell Brown,

Meanwhile, @rupertmurdoch is losing it a bit on Twitter right now.

    Last 3 tweets:

"Seems every competitor and enemy piling on with lies and libels. So bad, easy to hit back hard, which preparing."

"Enemies many different agendas, but worst old toffs and right wingers who still want last century's status quo with their monopolies."

"Let's have it on! Choice, freedom of thought and markets, individual personal responsibility"

Bet there are one or two politicians who feel a tad shaky as they check their closets for stray bones... :)

Murdoch’s latest tweets sound remarkably like Newt Gingrich’s infamous ‘Literati’ press release. Poetic justice will come the moment John Lithgow recites them.

The irony, it burns. I wonder if he really believes any of it? Especially about monopolies and personal responsibility?
