  • Bruce Wurr,

Would love to see a stuntclown reissue, particularly with the first 7 track ep as a bonus - my pressing of that came from Germany and unfortunately ended up decaying.......there's also the wonderful live versions of donca and do the headless chickens on the bside of expecting to fly that need to be resurfaced!

Which is effectively what happened with the CD reissue/digital release. And damn, you're right – a double vinyl version would be awesome.

Oh yes ... and now I have to go and dig out the 12".

  • lloydois,

Agree with your take on Lorde. What's astounding is the obvious passion of her fans attending the concerts and the string of glowing reviews she's generating at every performance. I particularly liked Cory's take http://www.houstonpress.com/music/review-lorde-toyota-center-houston-3-19-18-10312998

And the way she has changed the ending of Green Light into the house anthem it always wanted to be is fantastic.

  • JacksonP,

There seems to be another view of the tour.

When Lorde launched her long-awaited arena run on March 1, many were talking about empty seats rather than the inspired performance. But if tours are going to be judged on how well they sell in Milwaukee or other smaller markets, then that would be a hard metric for many to succeed. In LA, at least, filling seats didn’t appear to be a problem..

    From here.

I name-check Lorde in my latest contribution to New Zealand Memories, about the very early days of local recorded music.

  • Jason Kemp,

I kept listening to 'The Reflex' after that track and now enjoying Grapevine re-imagination also on the same album. Grapevine is seriously brilliant. Better than the original.

Seems like the whole album would be a great party starter. You think you know the songs but then they up and transform in this revision / remix whatever it is.

  • Hugh Wilson,

Its a great sentiment, to start your own band, and I myself wouldn’t mind spinning out a bit more often (constrained by young uns right now tho), but frequently the venue is that missing or difficult element. Last Saturday night I popped out to hear some mates dj’ing at pub in Collingwood, and while it was not the busiest the music was certainly creating a good atmosphere. Anyway, the dj’s were wrapped about 11, and what did the staff put on the sound system – Chris fucking Issacs’ ’Wicked Game'album! Was so mortified we decamped to another nearby pub for a final lager … I mean, Chris Issacs, of all choices in this day in age, and that links back to the point that the venue can be the challenge, so RIP to Golden Dawn, it was clearly good while it lasted.
