  • bob daktari,

that Rhian Sheehan remix is mint!

This week I've bene listening to a lot of the KiwiFM covers and originals from their soundcloud

Jesse Sheehan's Jesus I Was Evil is brilliant

and being a fall fan and it being budget week I've taken to playing this cover by She's So Rad

  • George Darroch,

awkward layout and deafening rock PA.

That's something to note. A venue set up for loud guitars and sloppy drumming isn't going to do well when you want crisp notes across the spectrum and clear sound at lower volumes.

That's it in one. The Watercolours showcase at the KA last year was just a debacle.

    deafening rock PA

Never appealed. Always admired the skill of soundies who could coax some detail out of such systems.

    It is!

Although I initially read that as Rhian Sheehan. That would have been really weird.

I think I'd enjoy a rendition by them as a duo... that could be well weird and potentially very very cool

  • Greg Wood,

the King’s Arms, with its awkward layout and deafening rock PA. It just doesn’t seem as much fun as it used to.

  • andrew r,

Those small bars sound interesting and not having to stay up all night - gee, next time I'm there. As to KA - it suits rowdy guitars, young Americans Wavves were very good last year there, and Kurt Vile in December made the place hum too. So there is still a place for the old beast.
