    And the showers at Sweetwaters.
This was round about going-home time.

There is a picture of the showers full of people, naked and semi-naked. Not sure anyone pictured would appreciate appearing on the internet in that state.

And it's a mixed shower, right? I seem to remember that being the case.

Another thing you wouldn't get at Rhythm & Vines.

Yup, mixed shower - must say the only naked people in my picture are men - everyone else is in togs or undies.

Well, they should have told the photographer that. I mean, they were meant to be attuned to the planet and its future, like. Predicting the subsequent development of electronic naked people image distribution networks ought to have been a no-brainer.

    mixed shower -

They were vile. I either stunk or swam in preference to the showers.

    Capture needs a 70s, 80s festival post.

Those VW recovery photos alone are photo-narrative gold.

    Just sayin'.

    And are VW Beetles watertight?

Not with the windows open. But my 57 beetle did have mushrooms growing in it.

Ah, the 70s and 80s. When men were men and women.

Hard to see much coming when you are using a beer carton as a hat.

    Simple, make-do times.

Probably not a lot o sun-block being splashed around either.

The only time I went to a multi-day festival, we popped home for a shower. That was wimpy, right?

Those are ‘double-brown’ cans holding up the mini.
The aluminium was thicker than most cans, if I remember rightly. A flatmate and I once collected a bunch, cut the ends off, and made flat strips of aluminium which we used to fix rusted-out V-gutters in the ‘gables’ of our flat’s roof. Double-brown cans were definitely the best :)

See, simple make-do. Can double-brown beer cans be used to increase internet speed?

There's a slightly confused bloke cradling a box of Double Brown cans in the Nambassa doco too. Bloody awful beer, truth be known.

Your right Ian Black Sabbath were a bunch of wankers - I may have been too out of it at the time to realise that .

At my first Sweetwaters I had too many shells of kava (having been gleefully urged on by one of the Androidss) and subsequently considered disrobing and joining the hippies who were skinny-dipping in the river.

Fortunately, I came to my senses.
