Not directly related. Not related at all actually, but The Onion couldn't have written a better story.

After seeing Dylan on Saturday I never want to go to Vecta Arena again!
Where were you sitting? I was half way back on the floor, and the show sound absolutely superb. Or is a design and access issue you have rather than a sound quality one?
If it is the latter, I also went to Supernova there (I got comps, so shuddup!) and was sitting right at the back of the Circle, or whatever it is called. That sounded pretty bad, but it was the first show there, and played to a 1/2 empty arena.
And where I was standing at U2 at My Smart, the sound was absolute shite, getting reverb off the new stand muddying up the sound such that I could hardly make the vocals out for many of the songs. But my wife moved back about 30 metres and the sound there was perfect from all accounts.
Alls I'm saying is that most venues have some bad spots acoustically, and I guess they move depending on the sound setup on the night.
I just hope I'm not in one of those zones for Steely Dan or Crowded House in the next few months...

Sorry InternationalObserver, for the OF spoiler - but, well there are no spoiler tags on this comment system. And once a show airs on network TV it's probably fair game to discuss openly... ;-)
I can't recall a TV death that made me this sad since... uh... maybe Adrianna on Sopranos. Oh, and wasn't expecting the final scene of Housewives either, not that THAT one made me sad.
The Outrageous Fortune website forum is pretty active as you'd imagine, with people calling for Claire's return. I really doubt that's gonna happen, people... unless... no twin sister, right?

Holy &^%$, they killed off Aurora.
I'm sad, she was my favourite character on Fortune. :-(

^ Oh , and no disrespect meant with the first comment - I now see you had a very stressful pregnancy. So did we, a month in hospital for the 1st baby with us living on the other side of town, no contact with the baby for the first 10 days, wife & baby lucky to both survive the pregnancy (__HELLP syndrome__)... but it usually gets easier with the next one(s), with or without a nibble of soft cheese... ;-)

First child, huh? By the 3rd pregnancy generally the odd piece of Brie can be consumed guilt free. It's all pasteurised in NZ anyway...
And it's a mouse. A rabbit would have teeth. And long ears. And be greyer. And perhaps have longer hind legs.

Surprised not to see Midnight Oil reform for a set in Sydney. But I rather enjoyed Crowded House headlining (watched it via MSN with audio and video out routed to lounge's TV / Stereo and got the full 11 songs, I think). Especially when the lights all died.
Felt most happy for Nick Seymour, who I'm sure never thought he'd play stadiums again after the Farewell Gig on the Opera House.
Crowded House were / are also guests on Rove this week, and by all accounts coming out of Aussie should be pretty bloody funny.
Looking forward to seeing them at the King's Arms this Thursday...

RipIt.co.nz has pre-paid cards at Dick Smith stores. Cards are coming this year for digirama.co.nz and iTunes NZ. txttunes.com (still in beta) pays by billing your mobile phone account, vodaphone & telecom's music stores do the same.
I understand digirama and Amplifier both also have account systems that you can top up using internet banking to make purchases without a credit card.

Speaking of Y2K... in a similar vein, did you hear about the squadron of brand new USAF F-22 Raptors that basically crapped out when they crossed the International Date Line en route to Japan?

God, sorry to have hijacked the thread on a throwaway line several pages back!
If you ask nicely, there is a tub of rather nasty looking, almost black, chilli paste under the counter that has brought me to my knees in the past.
Oh, I have 1 of those in the fridge and 2 or 3 in the freezer. While my brother was at Lincoln between '04 - '06 I would have him bring a tub up every time he came home. A dollup in home made peanut satay sauce is to die for.
My brother'd actually also bring skewers of their chicken, tubs of tzatziki and even their pita breads up on the plane and we'd make up our own Greek Recipe souvlakis on the BBQ once we got him home from the airport. Last trip home he bought 2 ice-cream containers full of their chicken skewers. Anyone got an insight into how they're marinated?
My wife and I have been known to take a drive to Christchurch while staying with my folks in Blenheim for the sole purpose of getting Greek recipe souvlakis and Hilliers pies. The Spagalimis pizzas (mexican, apricot chicken) sadly didn't hold up to my memory of them from my student days.
Oh, for those playing at home with tubs of TGR chilli sauce, I've found a decent substitute for the Greek Recipe pitas at pak n save - they're called "mediterranean pizza bases" and are located with the other pita products in the breads aisle.
