  • Hard News: New Sky,

What's an "OB truck"? (does the b stand for "broadcast"?)

Also what are the rest of the 104 sports events in HD? (is there a list somewhere? he asks lazily)

I've been watching stuff branded ESPNHD for years now thinking "I wonder what it really looks like". Which is quite a philosophical question if you think about it.

  • Hard News: New Sky,

Cheers. I've just realised: will this make us "the Dunedinista" ? :)

Not until you complete the Official Initiation Ceremony de Gross Humiliation.

But it's not so bad, I'll ask Jo to come & explain it.

And if not you'll be hearing from our lawyer... who also... technically, is Jo.

And look at me and my poor linking skills:
The Apple website is saying you can get it from Vodafone and...that's it.

  • Hard News: Medical Matters,

The [http://www.apple.com/nz/iphone/buy/|Apple website] is saying you can get it from Vodafone and...that's it.

As one of the guys here at work pointed out, the handset cost is of far less import than whatever kind of rapeage goes on with data pricing.

So that's why it'd be better if there was more than one carrier, right?

  • Hard News: Medical Matters,

this morning after the unveiling of the iPhone 3G, which will be launched here along with other participating territories by Vodafone.

July 11 according to Engadget. But will it really only be Vodafone? Because that, if I may be so bold, sux.

  • Hard News: Breaking up the Band,

How is Chris Rattue going to write his column if he doesn't watch the All Blacks? Wait, this may be a blessing in disguise.

Put our 48hours film on the list of tributes to Finn.

He was in our team last year and we wanted to do something for him. Finn's partner, Sophie, and Finn's dad, Sean, sent us down a heap of his old recordings and we used them in our film.

  • Southerly: My First Stabbing,

Families always have the best stories. And without fail (in my experience at least) they involve the people who seem the dullest.

    That's an interesting thought Legbreak.

I hadn't considered the ramifications of changing the team you support as I always saw it as "scaling up" (Club to Province to Region/Super 14 to Nation).

Then we look at football (soccer).

The premier league, the champions league, the uefa cup, the scottish league, the bundesliga, the spanish league, the italian league, the european cup and probably a bunch I don't know about.

How does that work? Is it just the huge number of fans?
