I have always pronounced women and wimmin the same.
-
Good point, I guess.
-
I do use women quite happily - I use the Wimmin thing nowadays more in a joking way. Sadly. I would love to still have some of that righteous fire in my belly. We were some angry young women, but then, we did need to be, at times.

Oh, I won't be listening, Sof. Never do. But it still makes me uncomfortable that he is being put back in a prime position. What message is that sending to his audience? Still smacks of cynicism to me.

I don't think it's reasonable that he never gets to work again, but I do question the ethics of whacking him on a much listened to spot, really.

Um, that would be Wimmins. We is wimmins.
I'd actually rather be called a 'lady', and that's saying something.
I suspect my preference is from circa 1983 Unifems, Emma. My mates and I used to, whenever any MAN used to be talking bollocks about women, remind them not so gently that we were W I M M I N. We were in our early 20's. What can I say?

I find this pretty incredible. As if the official policy is " Lay low for a while, mate, and when this has all blown over and you've lost enough that people will feel sorry for you, you can make a triumphant return". Abhorrent.
-
It almost escalated to a "'99" call by the PAS Women's XV though.
Dr Haywood is popular with the ladies.
Um, that would be Wimmins. We is wimmins.

I have but one thing to say. And I stole it from someone else, which makes me a plagiariser. Twatcock.

I know nothing of any thing to do with publishing but I love this idea. I don't, as a rule, buy books - being a confirmed library only user. But if I thought that the authors were getting more money, I can see myself using a website like that. And also, it would mean that authors who weren't "officially" published would be getting in there as well.
