I can donate really superb photos (that I'll buy off my neighbours Andris Apse & David Alexander) or calligraphed/illustrated poems I'd make-
Oh Andris Apse. <swoon>. I love his stuff. Very beautiful. A bit like your wriiting made three dimensional. Evocative. And yet definitely feet on the ground. Hope all is well with your brain, Islander?

David, what a deeply affecting way you have of telling your story. It was a great privilege to read it. I hope that your recovery is ongoing, and that you find your "new" normal a liveable place to be.

Thanks for the tugid member link, Emma - but, with all due respect to those of the male persuasion, dicks just aren't as aesthetically pleasing as breasts, are they? I was thinking before about what would shock me (my own personal NSFW, I guess), and I have to say that the only thing that has offended my sensibilities in the last wee while, is a video - on someone's cellphone - of people weeing and pooing and vomiting in each others bodily orifices. Now that I went ewwwwwwwww to.

Now if only we could make it so the Sky City carpark isn't such an evil vortex of doom.........

ike many built features in Auckland including most of the buildings in the CBD, I reckon that pohutukawa sculpture is clunky and lacks grace.
Do you know Sacha, I have always liked that sculpture. And then, the other night, when I was driving some citizens of the fine PAS parish to an evening event, I saw it all lit up. I think it's fantastic.
Does anyone else remember drunken teachers reeking of tobacco?. Or am I just that old?.
Steve. Darling. Do you even have to ask?
Now, back to the waterfront. I think it's a fine idea. Whatever it takes to open up that area is fine with me, and my rates. It's time we stopped pissing around and committed to being an urban place with useable urban spaces, instead of the built uppedness that abounds down that end of town.

I'd never heard of NSFW, Emma. Thanks for the enlightenment. Oh, and also for the rabbits not vomiting thing. I'm afraid I find myself deeply unoffended by any of the links, so, like, could you link to the blood engorged love truncheon again? ;)

Oooh, double high dudgeon, Craig. Fabulous.

Thanks Russell - I'm really looking forward to seeing it again. My friend Steven Oates is in it, and I saw a few other familiar faces. So okay, you aren't a big tease.

Re Mt Albert: I believe that is what they call a trouncing.

there's been a kiwi one made, giovanni - russell showed it to us the other night, tantalised us with "it will be online in the next couple of days" sort of thing, and then...............nada. He's such a big tease.
