so slow and exaggerated it made a pre-school teacher sound positively highbrow and obscure.
Hey! I can be highbrow and obscure with the best of them.

Regarding gazes - many years ago my husband looked at a picture of Claudia Schiffer in the newspaper, and then turned to me and said, "You know, Claudia Schiffer is a very intelligent woman."
I would just like to say that Daniel Craig is a very intelligent man.
That's all.
I know I've said it before, but I will say it again. I luff you, Deborah. That made me laugh out loud.
Fear not, Ms Wegan, for it is my belief that the most attractive thing about a woman is an air of confidence.
Wordy word mcword. You can take all that bollocks about face-hip ration or whatever, and shove it. Having said that, being over forty sucks sometimes. There's only so much confidence one can have when one is dying for admiring glances from young, lovely, men. I might have to start wearing red lipstick.

I'm not really sure why everyone is so convinced David Bain murdered his family. But I am inclined to agree with David Slack that if he did it, he's served his time, and if he didn't, the right verdict was reached.

To me, it's a very puzzling case - I have never believed he was guilty. Don't ask me why, I really don't know, and nor does it matter. It's one of those cases, I think, where the only person who knows is the person directly involved. And he doesn't seem to talk a great deal. Will he, in the next few days, weeks, months? I hope so.

Oh Craig. Bless, bless, and bless again.

Congrats Paul - yes babies are little miracles, aren't they? Little tiny yummy miracles. I love a new baby - don't want any, mind. Just happy to admire other peoples'.

Ah - the feeling of alienation from the land of your birth. Never had that feeling, never likely to have had it, always really interested to hear about it. I really deeply feel for those people who seem to be betwixt and between, and have that feeling of, as you said Daniel, dislocation. My sister in law has that. She's English, but my brother was ready to come home. It's taken her a while, and NZ just never seems to be home for her, but then neither is Britain. Hard, hard, hard. I hope things settle for you, I really do.

f you're talking about something like rape or child abuse, speak as you would if you were speaking to a victim - because this is the internet, and you probably are. Yes, that means politeness, but it also means gentleness and empathy
Well said.

Well good for all the cyclists, I reckon, for making it across the bridge. It does strike me as somewhat bizarre that there is no cycle lane, really. Bit of a hard ride though, what? All that up......

What I'm saying Tess is this - why could you not raise your children with a firm set of moral guidelines and connected to their spirituality without resorting to a church? Once again, just asking. I've always been curious about this argument. I have friends who have become religious only after having children - because they want what you wanted for your kids. I just don't get it.
