The thought that the gummint is cutting funding on education (adult education, enviro schools), in favour of building more prisons is just a touch depressing. What happened to the debate to alternatives to prison?
At this rate, the country's going to face an ambulance shortage - they'll all be @ the bottom of Laura Norder Cliff.

And. yes, I think Chris Comeskey knows exactly what dogs he whistles for at any given moment.
Such as 'vigilantes', P-heads and medal thieves? Who next, Allen Stanford?

Good to hear all's well Russell. My father had a gallstone operation this time 2 years ago, so it's something I can relate to.

In other news, they're going to build a motorway through Taupiri mountain. Who could possibly object?
Well, I might--and possibly Tainui and all those folk who relatives buried on the mountain.
The ghost of Billy T's chuckle echoes...

Computerworld's Darren Greenwood had some nuanced commentary on the above nearly 10 years ago - and it still rings true today. He's still writing for them to this day - not bad for a "lifetime" job.
