    putting the sad in sadistic...
and news staff aren't getting out much it seems...

I heard some reporter on One News tonight, talking about the "masochistic organisers" of an extreme sports event in the US, a kiwi team was training for...

...and what is the preoccupation with Mel Gibson, so an actor (and director) is a complete tosser – gosh that sure is big international news, while this boring stuff here, here and here is best ignored, right?

  • OnPoint: Like a hole in the head,

Holes are a must to avoid...

I knew an enterprising farm lad who wanted to set up a business selling post holes to farmers. He did have a problem with packaging.

that doesn't augur, er well for his future...

    Firing broadsides...?

Actually, Broad is pretty adamant that he doesn't want a routinely-armed force on his watch.

and his watch ends in March next year...
when Collins will be probably looking to introduce Sentry Tech as used by the Israeli Defence Farce, a serious joystick controlled single shoot 'em up...

  • Hard News: Changing the News,

and we all have their Live Crosses to bear...
Can we finally see a stop to the ludicrous
waste of fuel and personnel power of the
    unnecessary Live Cross!
People standing around in the dark at places
where nothing is happening, what do they think
this achieves - it infuriates me...

  • OnPoint: Like a hole in the head,

Often the jobs created by such projects are just a transfer from elsewhere in the region or country.

Just like all the mining jobs that will be allegedly created if we expand mining – I note the man killed in an ice related crash on the coast the other day (R.I.P.) was an Australian who had just arrived in the country to work at the existing west coast coal mine... will it be any different with future mining? How many Kiwis are employed in mining currently and how many foreigners one wonders...

Turn on and tune in or turn in and tune out?

"drugs switch you off". Comedian Paolo Rossi pointed out I thought rather cogently that they switch you on first...

    Now there's a solution - a Switch Hunt!

    and wasn't Trigger a Horse?

  • Hard News: The Munter and the Munted,

    Sound tracks...

Using the L.E.D.s was a show of very good taste indeed.

and that good taste has spread to Go Girls as well... I wish someone would commission the L.E.D.s to do more music for TV and film.
though Outrageous Fortune has done Kiwi music in general proud! – thank you.

    Wardrobe dept...

    Straightjacket Fits

that sounds like a Mod band, with straight trousers too, I think you mean the snug fitting canvas and leather strap ensemble known as Straitjacket Fits...

oh alright, I'm taking off my pendant and belt and heading for the padded cells... :- )
