Naturally, how could she be a peeping tom?

    A hoarse race?

Today in a fast-food establishment I was offered Martyr’s Horse with my chips. I declined.

Well I don’t have a list o’ cats, but how about a line?

The tabby in particular loved this fire. He would heat up until he was too hot and then totter queasily into the kitchen to lie full stretch on the cool floor. Then he’d go back and do it again.

One time he singed his tail; I opened the door of the fire to put another log on and he rushed forward to bask in the hot blast, and touched his tail on the inside of the door. There was a big puff of smoke and a nasty smell, but he didn't seem to notice until later when I saw him washing his tail and looking puzzled.

So, I don't have a lot of time for cats and felt no need to comment on this thread. I don't dislike them, just never had one or any fink.
Now it was suggested I could put this old pic of my Aunty and Uncle's family cat on this thread so what the hey!. He has passed away now . His name was Henry. A much loved family pet.

Rat Fink was advertised for the first time in the July 1963 issue of Car Craft. The ad called it “The rage in California”. Also in 1963 the Revell Model Company issued a plastic model kit of the character. The initial run of the kit was from 1963 to 1965,

So I was born in 1963. Geez it was a good year eh? I actually have a wee ratphobia. :)

Amazing leopard, Sofie! And he looks so tame. What country was this in?

  • Sofie Bribiesca, in reply to Lilith __,

Yes, really tame, and moved about the house as most cats do.These photos were taken when he lived in Baton Rouge, Florida. USA.

I'm reminded of one of Barry Crump's (supposedly true) anecdotes about living in a rented shack in Queensland that came with a pet boa constrictor. To avoid alarming his guests who might come upon her unexpectedly, he put a sign by the front path saying, "The snake is tame". He says the sign reduced the number of visitors from very few to none at all.

I can imagine a pet leopard might reduce the number of door-to-door sales calls one received.

Sure, but they had many ways to do that just quietly. ;)

Colin finds the warm, muggy weather quite trying. He has to seek shade in whatever narrow place he finds it.

Are you sure he isn't trying to soften the harsh angles created by the corner of the deck and the railing. It is clearly much more aesthetically pleasing with the cat in place.

I think he was on the lash last night and just passed out on the way home. Nice of you to make up a cover story for him though. ;-)
