I love watching him come down from the cabbage trees. He starts out facing down, digs in both sets of front claws and then swings his whole body down so that he's facing upwards and can clamber down the trunk. It's very cool.

Colin stationed himself in the adjacent cabbage tree in the forlorn hope of bagging a waxeye visiting the denuded fig tree
Colin must see himself like this. :-)
And I've never known a cat that figured out the sensible way to come down a cabbage tree, so maybe he does have superpowers.
It amuses me how suburban cabbage trees always have that scarified patch at exactly the same height, though. :-)

Well, he is a very cool cat. That’s for sure. They are incredibly intelligent creatures. That’s how they get us to run around after them even though we know there may not be anything in it for us.

Sorry for your trouble Hebe. I cleared the car park, in case you want to try again.
I don't hang out in cat threads quite as much as I should for some strange reason. ;-)
I did give the Colin photo some lovin' elsewhere though.

High praise Gudrun thanks. It was a Very Important Box for the twin cats of my twins. Milly unfortunately is no more. Billy now sleeps decoratively with Leo.

Yup a Birkensocks. My favourite footwear that pair. Leo the lion is the most amazing cat

Soon? Go well Islander. May the sun shine, the fish bite, and your broadband be reliable.

Soonish - have to sell my home here first before I can build at the beloved kaik' bay- but I'm already packing stuff & organising a shipping container or two-
