Does anybody know how Chris Knox is doing these days? The last I heard about him was the release of the album to support his recovery.

Richard Langston & Roger Shepherd playing Flying Nun tunes old and new at Happy in Wellington tonight.
Not posed at all, and seemingly unaware that you're there - that is a great shot.

Isn't it just. It's a keeper, one for the ages, which is why it was such a surprise to read that you'd taken it only hours before posting it.

Two turntables and a microphone...

This is where the caption plays such a strong part in fixing these moments - on first glance I assumed it was rare picture of The Jefferson Airplane's Marty Balin (or Jack Kerouac) meeting David Hockney (or Andy Warhol)!

Thanks all. While I was there I showed Roger this post. Am hoping he may like to contribute.

Hi Pete. Was kind of hoping someone with a bit more to offer would reply. The last entry on a Blog, which I believe Chris' family set up, was in February this year. That might give some insight.
My most recent memory is Chris coming on stage at the first Laneways with Shayne Carter.

That is awesome Ian. Hope you're keeping them somewhere safe.

Just catching up finally... brilliant photos Jonathan and so powerful to see them in that sequence and with your comments. That shot of Jane Dodd and Robbie Yeats now looks to me like it is from another world. Certainly not from the Grey Lynn which I am told voted heavily for National a couple of weeks ago.

I have no Flying Nun photos. And only one photo of a concert I went to. Don't judge me. It's the best concert I have ever been to
You need to get a bit closer, Jackie. :)

Thanks for those kind word, Bob. New photo above is David Yetton of the Stereobus at the Kings Arms in October this year. Not really Flying Nun either but it was great to hear them again.

Never one to miss out on a thread revival, here's Shayne Carter and co in Coyle Park, Pt Chev, Jan 2010. They played Machine Song. It was pretty damn great, although the crowd was kind of small. Sure he'd get a good reception if he played it again at Laneways next year. Just as an idea.
ETA: Guess I should have said 'Dimmer'.
