  • Hebe, in reply to Ian Dalziel,

Shoulder pads were a state of mind in the 80s. I wasn't there. Fashions then were horrific.

Dearly beloved says to mention that when faced with 80s fashions or rehab, he went to rehab then hid for a decade.

    I remember many a ‘70s night tottering

A lotta tottering went on the various Squares in the 70s, and 80s.

I completely understand where he is coming from. The 80's was pretty scary. i did hair shows and embarrassingly let them put me in outfits like this....
    WARNING!!
I really did not like this outfit,It was not my fault,
I think much self medication went on to actually walk down the runway.
I cannot believe the crutch in the lycra, but I do like the colour of my hair.
    Embarrassing? Much?
It is from my odd stuff folder. :))

I can't go out for St Patricks day and leave that image of me as my departing shot so instead, the only other Chch fountain photo I have is a proof off my parents wedding photos and so I cropped this and would rather this be up . It's the fountain on my Gramps lawn. Mum's dress edges into shot.

  • JacksonP,

Trafalger square shot is a beauty.

I am otherwise refraining from comment. ;-)

    Now… Guiness.

    Mission Bay fountain.

Found one, but not a great shot. Worth a revisit. Seems we're using up our fountain shots. Or was that our fountain of youth shots?

The sartorial equivalent of, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all” :-D

Sofie you were gorgeous whatever the outfit. xx

Just start a new thread pronto, I reckon. Better coherence for posterity.

Nice idea, but I would want a lead in. That's about all the fountain shots I have. But we may go on assignment sometime and revisit it. The moving water theme is a nice one.

  • Lilith __,

To lurch back on topic, this article is insightful about the demolition of Chch Cathedral and the loss of faith between the Anglican Diocese and the local community. I know Bishop Victoria Matthews isn't acting alone, but she's made a real mess of this situation. When she should be reaching out, she's pushing us away.

I like that Sam Mahon fountain because you can play with it. And then there is this artwork in Te Puna O Waiwhetu
    http://christchurchartgallery.org.nz/collection/objects/2003-38/
I have spent hours playing with both these pieces.

That is all I ever hope to achieve. There is photos, there is art. with pictures I cant see judgement, but if someone enjoys it or gets something valid, that is an idea worth capturing..
Thank yous kindly for any acknowledgement of anything I do offer. This, is me xxx
