Nice Doug, I see many hours of patient capturing there. Making the town look pretty de-populated.

My town is usually completely de-populated.
And once in a blue moon…..

    Odd building, hurried shot.

    And great work, Doug.

Too late to edit, but I think I prefer that in B&W.

And shot through a filthy window...

Great series, cheers Doug. Incredible depth in these photos.

Has made me look back at my city scenes. Second one I may have posted before, but couldn't find it.

It's hard to not be constantly lost in this city.

If not lost, at least obscured, hidden and layered.

    layered.

    Indeed.

And the mall doesn't really look this sombre, but somehow I think my phone caught the feel of this space better than my eyes. (and ice skating? In summer?)

And not just lost, but transported back to a time when toddlers rode triceratopses.

Your pics are nice, too. Especially the last one: "Before I die..." Intriguing.

Had blackboards to write endings to that.... think that sign and the blackboards are gone now.

Broken windows, rust. From a park over the (abandoned?) temporary barracks for the workers to the fancy new apartment building they’ll never be able to afford to live in.

    Towers sprout faster than trees.

Just after 8am and already stinking hot.

Can't get lost if you can't get anywhere.

Not something to lose on a day that hits 35 degrees* by 10am.

*at Dahongmen, southern fringe of Beijing. But the rest of the city wasn't far behind.
