Drawing your attention to The Great Kererū Count!

The Great Kererū Count is the largest national citizen science project to help gather information on the abundance and distribution of the New Zealand Pigeon — also known as kererū, kūkū or kūkupa.
The Great Kererū Count takes place over 10 full days from 16 to 25 September 2016. So get ready to get out and about and make your kererū count.

If you spot any of these lovelies you can log your observation on this form.

I saw this pigeon-pair today on the street.

    vapour and the trails...

    ...waiting for obliteration by sun

... phase change by evaporation rather than obliteration (and therefore total destruction)
    - part of the great water cycle that helps make all things possible here on Earth.

Only posted because DrBen Goldacre is in the country...
...wouldn't want him coming down on bad science creeping in at Public Address/Capture!

Commendable altertness there. I can’t even claim obliteration was to avoid the V key, as the V key is now restored.
