And Jackson ducks off. ;-)
What fine and well-fed mallards those look. -

If I can digress into camera news, this is one hell of a zoomy zoom in a new Canon compact.
f/3.4-5.8 lens equivalent to 24-720mm in 35mm
!

I wonder what 280 pounds UK becomes in New Zealand? The smaller sister 160 looks pretty too. If they do RAW even better... I'll delay that camera shopping...

Electronics goods made in Asia are often slightly cheaper here than in the UK. But I don't imagine It'll be a cheap camera.
I wonder if you'd need a tripod to use it at full zoom. Be fun to have a play with!

It will probably have the latest Canon image stabilizer, which is pretty good, but I'd be wanting to see samples of the full zoom before getting too excited. The G10 struggles at the limits of the optical zoom, although things have moved on a lot since then.
Does look interesting.

Yes a play would be ideal. I wish I could test-drive a camera for a week or so.
PS: Sparkly ducks, duckstorms,; great. Not many ducks on the river here since the big rain; the water is vile soup-brown.

The problem with pictures and the intrwebs for that matter, is. Is that they have no smell and that is what Spring is, it's a smell.

First ducking, now shagging.
Like the fact there is a picture supplied for the Fluffy Duck, but 'No picture available' for the Cold Shag!
