  • Jos,

Nice nolias, and go the happy hippies!

My all time favourite from back then was 'let it all hang out'

That waterfall is something else, right in town like that.
Best one yet Jos, sound & vision cooking there.

    Phrases set to stun...

    Zoom out and dissolve transition

I think your Vulcan-to-English translation app is malfunctioning, have you tried turning it off and turning it on again?
Having said that, what a wonderful phrase, a simple goodbye will never suffice again...

Dissolving is such sweet sorrow, that I shall fade-to-black till it be morrow. ;-)

  • Gudrun Gisela, in reply to Ian Dalziel,

What what what? I replied to Jos and I was asking if the method to make the video used was: aiming at a subject and slowly zooming out. After taking the image when editing it you use a function called dissolve transition . Not sure why that is Vulcan-to English. You would have realized by now i aint no writer Ian and am in awe of people such as yourself and quite a few contributors who are indeed wordsmiths . It's all good - no double etendre.

    word power...

    What what what?

Only 3 watts? You're right I was being dim!
Gudrun, sorry for confusion, it was no comment on your words, I was just using them as a springboard from the riff the words started in my head (exacerbated by having watched the Star Trek movie at the weekend) - The Vulcan phrase "Live long and prosper'' has a similar cadence and scansion and well, one thing leads to another - basically, I'm just wired weird.... with a harebrain trigger...

Great stuff Jos. As I'm sure you'll know, that waterfall is a big part of my youthful existence. Many a day jumping across the top of it, or playing at the base.

Photo above not the greatest, but it came from one of my first rolls of film ever, so I like it. I have another of the pool somewhere at home. Will see if I can find it.

Looks like the beast knows its in for a good wash, low temperature and minimum agitation. I feel sorry for those little critters. Imagine the noise and hot stuff flying around followed by bad smells. Hope for them its the last of eruptions.

Same one as in Jos' video, in centre of Whakatane. You know, I don't think we ever swam in it as such. It's over the road from a pub, more or less. ;-)
