I will have a good hoik, in sympathy, as a fellow sufferer.

I feel fabulous, really looking forward to the long weekend. Hey, just putting it out there.
-
DJ Numark and his toy set. Enjoy. Hope you feeling better soon
-
A three-day weekend: hoping to be inspired to finish my book chapter in the surrounds of the Michael King House at Opoutere. One of the very best things my university has done--buying King's house and making it available to staff to rent, and write in.

Can I just point out not everyone gets a long weekend, and yes, I am quite bitter about it.

But hearing your dulcet tones on the old steam radio makes the weekend so much better ;-)

And if you're feeling icky, well this might give you a giggle:

critical theorists would simply have given up and gone to the pub
you're giving them excuses now

Aw. For you then, I will go to work on Monday.

While your reading that Global thingy on Drugs, a bit of Bill Hicks might help.

Channeling the impeccably named Lady Grantham Dowager Countess
of Down Town Alley, or a 24/7 at the coal face reference?I'm going roller skating in the rain tomorrow.

In a week during which I spend $60 on a rubber band for my turntable, I kind of wish there was a way to play some scratchy vinyl loveliness for the sufferers.
Real Groovy is celebrating 30 years over the weekend. Seems worth getting out there to see some of the bands playing, or trade some records. Chris Hart on bFM this morning seemed to have a few years left in him yet.
Speaking of 1981, Don't fight it...

Are weekends, long or average, people who work don't know how lucky they are
Me, I am off to Stewart island, herding cats (exchange students) and I can see some fresh blue cod in my future -
Some joy:

This is what you want to be listening to right about now (hat-tip Peter Mclennan):
Oh, and my friend Kerry takes the nicest pics at my house.

I friggin' love that song (Marsha). Always have since I bought It's bigger than both of us as one of those fugly double tapes. Has a great space about it and a really catchy guitar line. How YOUNG AND SKINNY is Don MacGlashan! Heh.
Wrt to that triple backflip. WTF!? I've seen it half a dozen times now and it still gives me the heebees. Every time I think "what if he doesn't make it and crashes into that ramp!?!". Could they have made that any MORE unsafe in case of an accident?

It's *so* far down from the top of that ramp. Just love how casually he pulls off the landing.

Eggzackery! Long weekend just means more time available to fight this fucking expressway. Stupid, stupid RoNS.
