  • Malcolm Ibell,

And may I add: For those that missed the Civic tour, earlier in the year, there might be a chance to go for a bit of a wander... later in the evening.

But to do that, you've gotta find me :)

I'm sure Jackie will point me out... as one of the

    ...stunning people....

... not at the table, mind you.

  • Geoff Lealand,

ScottY and Geoff those 2 extra tickets would be of use if they are still available

Sorry, delayed by teaching duties. My second ticket can be a Rachel or a Don.

The Don will be pleased. No severed horses head in your bed when you get home.

But given how little action I am getting these days, a donkey might be welcome ;-)

  • Rich Lock,

I am extremely annoyed* about having to bow out of this one as I am currently one of The Unclean.

Russell has been informed that there are now two spare places.

In my absence, please treat ScottY gently. He's not used to being in public without his normal minders. As long as you keep the loud noises and bright lights to a minimum, he should be fine. And absolutely no jelly and icecream. Or alcohol.

*well, as annoyed as it is possible to get from the centre of a listless, self-pitying flu-fug.

  • Emma Hart,

Have a great time tonight, guys. Really, really wish I could be there. Have "drinks"* on/for me.

    *substitute whichever vice seems appropriate

You forgot to mention soft cheeses, Rich. You know I go off my head on brie.

I'm sure I'll be fine though, and I'll do my best not to hide in a corner (which is my default position when in a room filled with people I don't know)

  • Jackie Clark,

And just think what it's like for me!

    I'm supposed to remember everyone's names ...

No, you're not, love. That's what the name tags are for. You did get name tags, didn't you?

    - Yeah, Mike, tha's it!

    and

I'm having quite a few emotional problems...
    - Hamilton? Wellington? Palmerston North?
    - Grey Lynn.

That should be on a T-shirt.

  • Isabel Hitchings,

Hope you guys all have a fabulous time. Any shaking I feel tonight will be blamed on Russell's disco dancing ;-)

I think Giovanni's riposte may be the correct one.

It looks like Twitter! Kill me now.

I've really enjoyed the simple and functional UI. I hope it isn't replaced with a cluttered one - increased functionality might be one thing, but there's a beauty to ideas expressed clearly in black text.

I'd also like to add that if Lance Wiggs is in favour, I'm against it.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see (I'm trying so hard to believe )

One thing I will say about Twitter: it allows me to be a pain in the arse even when I'm not at an event. So that's something.

  • Sofie Bribiesca,

What a brilliant venue for a great event.Wish I found the sushi before midnight. Did get the last 2 pieces but. Thanks for a lovely evening Russell. Haven't checked the photos yet, but sent it into the crowd via 3410 so it will be interesting. Know I got a shot of Silke Hartung.
Shame the coat went astray. Somehow don't expect that at these kinda things.
Shame our conversation kept getting interrupted Geoff, but the nametags called.I hope that we will catch up at the next event.

  • Geoff Lealand,

It was a great blend, in all kinds of ways. We will catch up on matters horticultural at another time, Sofie. What happened at the music vid shoot? -Jackie and I slipped away as we had to get home (which was 2am for me)
