Couple of points - Emma, nice job in the Listener, and re Listener article, finished most of it, seems to sum things up fairly well.

Along the lines of wanting to see stuff, and the money thing, one of the things I mean to do every year is rock along to the Documentary Festival wit a couple of my friends who do that whole "20 films in 2 weeks" thing. And every year, I do not. So imagine my joy and pleasure to look at my Listener this morning, and see, that on TVOne, very late at night. next week they will be showing Bloody Dirty Hippies, which was one of the very docos I was itching to see. FTW!

When I spoke to the principal of Avonside Girls (very briefly) she was all about the rebuilding and reopening. It seems the girls are all doing okay at Burnside but it's causing their parents a whole heap of transport headaches. My friend's girl goes there - they live one week at Waimairi Bch and one week at Westhaven, and it's a very long haul for her.

I do wonder, too, if people were able to see into prison life (in a meaningful way, not one of my beloved "factual" tv programmes) whether they would change their minds about it being an easy place to be.

Back to slutwalk, I'm somewhat disappointed because I had sort of rounded up a number of us decidedly middle aged women to march. But it appears I have a date with a very special dog on that day, so it looks like I won't be there.

I wish they would ask her. She may give them a refreshingly different perspective, being the fantastic young woman she is.

I agree. There are certain products that have no place in a dairy - plastic bags of shit food are one, and anything even remotely "druggy" is another.
