  • Geoff Lealand, in reply to Jos,

Not quite sure which pics but if it is the set of three posted 20 hours ago, it looks like:

    1. Lily of the Valley Bush
    2 , Jasmine
    3. Double Primula

My Dip Hort from Massey was decades ago and mind files get deleted….

I should post a photo of our old-style calendulas which were grown from seed from the garden of the historic Fyffe House in Kaikoura.

    Heh!
Made me laugh - necessary on this very grey very wet Coast spring day-

just about to head to a concert in Donovan's Store - the Gimel Suites (which includes a bloke I knew from "PlaySchool "days -Jonathon Besser).

O yes! We does have kulture here!

  • Jackie Clark, in reply to Jos,

Thanks, Jack x Jos, she's not naked! It's just a little girl that was taking her dog for a walk in her pyjamas.

  • Jackie Clark, in reply to Islander,

I hid her stick in the tree, Islander. She was going to get it come hell or high water. Until she realised she wasn't. She's a tryer though.

  • Hebe, in reply to Jackie Clark,

Jackie, I wish I could photograph my labrador saying "garrumph" for you. Recently she has taken to snorting like an intolerant old duchess at anything that displeases her, quite often snuffling back to her bed or beside the woodburner and garumphing loudly and contemptuously at her subjects (me and the family). I find it funny and laugh, earning another reproachful glare.

Maybe no flowers in your capture, but the grass has riz.
Spring in your dog, in the clear air through my kitchen window this morning, the new greens of Spring foliage alternating with the old evergreens.

Our old girl used to do that - she did it all her life. Puffed out air from the side of her mouth when she was pissed off. Even did it right before she died, bless her.

No flowers, but certainly things that sprout, and rapidly. In this photo are the building I lived in when I first moved to this part of town, where I was living when I met she who is now my wife, and two buildings that were mere holes in the ground at the time. Taken from the classroom (in another building that didn't exist back then) just as this afternoon's brief storm passed.

I love how liquid the colours of the spin posies are.
