    Today in clouds….

Top: Altocumulus mackerel sky AKA Te Mara Kumara a Ngatoroirangi/The Kumara Gardens of Ngatoroirangi (so I’m told, thank you Twitter!)

Bottom: Cirrostratus with a circumscribed solar halo.

    Cool, eh?

Also, how is that bottom one even possible? Magic.

Well, it's the aligned glints of millions of tiny ice crystals 6,000m up in the sky...
...yeah, let's just go with magic. ;-)

Another day, another circumscribed halo! :-)

I like the sky-segments, too. Very David Hockney.

No cloudscapes around here, just a typical north China winter hard, blue, utterly frigid sky. The only fluffy white things are the emissions from central heating plants. I do, however, have a pizza monster to offer.

    Cloud boy…

    Clouds are cool.

Same day, I guess the cold air froze the Jet Con Trails as well, as they hung around for a loooong time – hope the Chem Trail proponents aren’t right – I mean, who would want Chchch to be more subservient or tractable?

Poppies. Back in the day they would not be safe in your gardens.
Yesterday I noticed my fave tree in the street has put on it’s xmas decorations for me yet again.
Actually, is now a favourite tree of all of them. Better grow one.
    I present the fabulous,

    …. (supposed drum roll)
Erythrina crista-galli! Common name, Coral tree.
