Does no one else feel even slightly dispirited that there are two responses to this - one from the originator - and, so far, 87 responses to the question of whether one should refer to the area shaved in preparation for a vasectomy as the scrotum or the balls? I wish I did not think the question at the top of this page was a sad joke.
(BTW, I enjoyed the radio interview, Martin, and look forward to reading the book - I think; on the other hand I may get into the bath with a bottle of gin and a razor blade)

Personally, I think journalism will survive the Internet in one form or another. What I'm hoping is for the Internet to herald the beginning of the end of Big Media Cartels (TM) as we know them. And those with a wide enough attention span won't lament it.

First, bloody great interview - as usual, guys.

Um, no – because over Public Address’s life there’s been dozens of posts, and tens of thousands of comments, on new and old media. Also, I could feel glum that out of the 120+ PAR pieces I've done, only a handful have attracted any comments at all but, you know, it doesn't hurt to have your ego put in its place. :)

Now you're making me feel guilty! But for me it's simply not practical to listen to radio on my computer. At least not at work. So I pretty much never venture into this section of Public Address.

If there were transcripts I'd happily read them.

(And yes, obviously vasectomies and coffee are more important than anything else in the world. This must be the second time in a week I feel like I've been told STOP TALKING ABOUT TRIVIA - THIS IS IMPORTANT!).

No. If for no other reason that this area of public address always gets few comments because of how the forum operates. It's the blog posts that are followed by a discussion.
