This is probably my favourite of all the photos I have taken because it was so opportunistic

    posters gone skody

Seems there is a lovely turtle with hearts on its back in the middle of that pic... skody poster dreaming!

This one is lonely and ambitions to be skody... cool but. Edinburgh.

That is exquisitely beautiful. I'll never look at an aging poster the same way again.

JLM, that is a real beauty. Love these shots everyone. I'm rummaging through my mental photo Rolodex. Sure I've got one somewhere.

  • Adrienne Rewi,

While Doug's original selection of images are wonderful, I also like the way these Capture comments columns are developing - the diverse responses the images are creating, the lateral tangents that the comments take as (in this case) they twist and turn through moko, spiders, dogs, graffiti, typography and more...... demonstrating once again (as if we ever needed proof) that we all read imagery according to our own experience and knowledge of the original subject. There's something wonderfully 'voyueristic' about it all that I love.... little offered-up glimpses into peoples' lives....... keep it coming!

Thank you Adrienne. Any time you want to share more of your glimpses into the world, don't hesitate in letting us know. Much merriment to you over the holiday season, although it appears you are perennially busy.

This house was in my dream last night. Milbank mansion, was my cousins house, inherited from my Unc. It was sold recently so I don't mind throwing it up here. It is on the net anyway as it was used for different movies etc so don't feel I am invading their privacy. A beautiful house. From the guest room, one looks at the Hollywood sign and the surrounding hills. Will miss staying there in the future.

    Damn, beat me to it.
Wonder if the guy that painted that sign knew what he was doing?.

Speaking of fantastic houses, this one is in Wellington. I just liked the way it occupied it's space.

Are you selling your services, now?

Nah, the bottom dropped out of the market
now that the whole city is a joke...

Case in point Smith's Bookshop owner only found out the shop was being pulled down, last week, when a friend phoned him to see if he knew about it!
So much for CERA and the council's promises of keeping people informed and able to access their property...
    Well it would be laughable
    if it wasn't so sad...
