    I'm off to do a spot of gardening on such a nice day.I may be sometime. So for all the Cantabrians doing it hard but able to check in here ,I offer a photo of a piece I have on the deck, which my friend gave me one year.

  • Gudrun Gisela,

    Good will is rife in Canterbury . Just had an invite from Ariana Tikao for her show on Friday in Governors Bay Emeralds and Greenstone - Live at She

    She Cafe, Governors Bay, Banks Peninsula, Christchurch, New Zealand. Should be brilliant. Yeah.

    A couple of weeks ago a bumblebee flew up my trouser-leg and got stuck. It stung (or possibly bit -- I'm told they don't sting) twice and I got these enormous red welts on my calf. I don't blame the bumble, but it's made me a little wary of them!

    Lesson learnt, wear tighter trousers ;) It's the wasp I am a bit weary of .
    This bumble might give you an idea of what bit hurt you though.

    Ouch.

    Forgive me, but I couldn't help thinking of this;

    Johnny Ate A Weta

    Johnny ate a bumble bee,
    cos it bit him on the knee.

    I think looser trousers are the way to go! Less conducive to bumble-panic. ;-)

    Rumor has it that it is a bumblebees ambition to get up someones trouser leg once in a lifetime. So you are lucky to have had that experience along with the extra heavy fluffy bumble. What would have been nasty, is a wasp.God forbid.
