I’m a Fire Pig!
4 others of my Mother’s children are also fire signs (yep, she had us, one after the other-with a gap)BUT
I am also an archtypical Piscean (as is my mother, her mother, her grandmother..)Which says quite a lot about astrology eh, she says, -sceptically-
O Sof'/Stella/Steve - little baby cheesuses finally underway- & your chutney is fantastic-

I'm an earth dragon. My wife insists I'm an absolutely typical dragon and taurus. I say superstitious nonsense. She says, see! Typical stubborn bastard taurus! Can't win.

I’m a rat. Or, “A rat, a rat!” to quote Hamlet.
I don’t believe in that sort of thing, though. Except it is rather fun to be a less-socially-acceptable animal.
-
Yeah, neither here nor there on that really too but I'm a water hare. Interestingly though, similar said about that for me as is the horoscopes.
The couple that have the clinic I attend for massage, said t'other day ,that, they lied to her parents about his year for the Mother would have been against the marriage had she known. . -

Me neither, but just as a matter of interest, I’m a Monkey, which is funny, because, well, I totally am. Gemini to boot.

If the cap fits, eh? ;-)

It just occured to me that taniwha may be a better translation for 龙 than dragon, as both taniwha and 龙 seem to be associated with water and authority, while those anglo-saxon dragons are all about evil. But I'm supposed to be translating poorly written policy... what a holiday. Back to work.

Jackie; just as an aside here, I presume the hooley is still on for this Saturday? If so, I will warm up the oven and the old automobile.

Yes yes and yes, Geoff. Is your lovely wife coming this time ?
-
I am trying to persuade her but I fear not.

This is exciting: I just noticed a nicely camouflaged tiny frog sitting in the sun in my goldfish pond (photos of the fish and waterlilies in above pond have featured earlier). No one gave the five tadpoles I added to the pond several weeks ago much chance of survival with over 30 hungry fish, but one at least managed to metamorphise. Such is the stuff of life.

Congratulations to the little Polliwog that could...

The hot springs, all very old-fashioned:
That looks extremely convivial, Geoff. Well, that's the best word I could think of.
Hilary, that's a nice surprise. Was there supposed to be a photo? Or just referring to earlier posts?

Is it Ok if I link to the rest of your photos of the buskers? There's some great ones. Thanks for posting one here.

Odds are froggy is one of these. Like the waxeye, once common in the Sydney area but now flourishing in NZ.
Congratulations, hope to see a portrait once it's big enough. -

Okororie Hot Springs near Tirau
wow, thanks Geoff, trippy time warp for me. We used to live in Okoroire Road in Tirau.. don't remember those gorgeous hot pools, just the tearooms and the Friday night trips to Putaruru for fish and chips and oysters.

No photo yet but will get one. Now found two and they are tiny - about 2 cms long and one still has remnants of a tail. One is brownish sitting on a brown lily pad and one is green sitting on a green lily pad.
