I am all for getting on with rebuilding and giving people their shops back. I usually shop in Pack and Save or stack and slave as i like to call it. Prices by and large a lot lower than any other ones. It is nice however to walk into a shop where everything is new and clean and people are cheerful. So thumbs up for this New World in St Martin's.

Brillant! Zany & colourful, wildly asymetrical, and with all kinds of buildings that could be - anything!
Way way better than the dour concrete monolithisation that is currently proposed & pushed for- -

I absolutely agree. If we worked with them imagine how brilliant this place could look.

the new supermarket in St Martin’s
Thanks for the pics Gudrun, it looks so shiny and new! Again, out-of-towners probably won’t appreciate what a wonder a rebuilt supermarket is for us.
What I look forward to most is familiar smiling faces on the checkouts! I hope they’ve been able to re-employ lots of their former staff.
I like to support businesses where the staff look contented. Some supermarkets you can tell they’re hating every minute. -

A Hundertwasser precinct would be a fine thing. A pity he isn't still alive to help out.

Oh thanks. :-) I was watching it while walking home and got in just in time to capture it before it set behind the hill! I felt a little like Harold from Harold and the Purple Crayon (“wherever he went, the moon went with him”).

It was solid, eh? I half-hoped for many more, but also feared many less. A beginning- long way to go, but ya gotta start :)
