Clock Tower 1989.
Not quite as early as I thought. I was working at Camera House at the time. Free developing and printing (cough) and I can’t remember if this was one of the many demo cameras or my Olympus OM 1n.

I had an Olympus OM 10, with some lovely lenses, including a particularly fine 120mm. Unfortunately it developed an intermittently "sticky shutter" as so many of that kind did, so I had lots of overexposed pics until I switched with relief to a Minolta, which I still have, but haven't used in a long time. The Minolta felt very luxurious, my first AF camera! And a lightning AF at that. I remember what a manual-camera snob I was before that, I thought that automatic features were only for the inept! Then I realised they make life a lot easier. :-D

I remember using one at a Peking Man gig - no other way I'd have kept focus on that twirling Urlich.

So I found these a bit of fun last night. First up was this. F 4.5, Exposure 15 seconds , ISO 100

Then, F4, Exposure 5 seconds ISO 6400. Interestingly the bamboo movement pulled some stars to the foreground.

But Mars was F 5.6, Exposure 2 seconds, ISO 6400. I like Mars, although a tad boring for the rest of you. Throwing caution to the wind I put up MARS! {:)

Not hard to see the theme there. My moderate moderator self is hovering over the redaction button. Call me a prude, but... Actually, go on, because in all likelihood, I am.
