  • Peter Darlington,

Either that or kiwi women really are amazing temptresses and kiwi blokes the most APBs in the world.

I'm certainly comfortable with this theory...

  • recordari,

Group trip then cos I saw that differently twice and recordari was responsible for both comments.

Shh! I was trying to build on my seer status. In my defence, I hadn't seen Emma's before I posted mine.

Thinking scientifically - are earthquakes more likely to occur near to the source of corruption, or can an energetic temptress cause an earthquake on the other side of the world?

Yes, if it is a vengeful deity we're alluding to, then what the hell was this all about? Death Toll in China Quake Rises to 617. I'm guessing this wasn't preceded by a series of mass demonstrations with low cut Communist attire.

I'm not sure that an earthquake in Taiwan counts - I go there a lot for business these days (lived thru their previous 6.9).

Boobquake in NZ is more sort of business as usual on the streets of Taipei

    @recordari@10:46午前 on 26 4 10:

wow. didn't know there was a video bootleg of that gig. on smithstorrents it say sthat the video and audio were put together from separate sources (not surprisingly).

my girlfriend at the time was on her first trip to London and there just happensed to be a one-off charity gig (Artists Against Apartheid) at the Brixton Academy. so naturally she went and had a great time. of course at the time no one had any clue that it would be the last Smiths live performance ever. (also only time SGABTO was ever played live by the Smiths)

Wondered if this might draw some Smiths fans out of the woodwork. There was a comment saying it was a live recording off the desk, but the footage is good to see. I'm just off to play my William it was really nothing 7". There is a light, and all that... ;-)

    You can't beat a strumpet.

Nice. Who would play Rachel Hunter in the tv ad?

there is some suggestion there that it's a merkin.

That'd be Amerkins for you, pr0nwashed into thinking female body hair is unnatural (and therefore ungodly no doubt)

It's still too early to be sure, but I think there were some minor tremors, and the quake in Asia means the experiment is inconclusive.

The whole thing will have to be repeated, sorry girls. Yes, I'm gutted too, but setbacks are common in pursuit of the truth.

  • JackElder,

I believe that the twin towers were brought down by thermite-packed bicycles in the basement, left by public transport activists disguised as couriers.

Look, if there's one thing that has by now been conclusively established, it's that this bike is not a pipe bomb.

And merkins aren't just a 'merkin thing: due to the difference between contemporary pubic grooming and that prevalent in ancient Rome, the cast of Spartacus: Blood & Sand had to be outfitted with individual merkins. You can imagine that they were clearly labelled to prevent confusion in the costume department: it's on thing to be accidentally given someone else's hat, but you really don't want to be playing swappa-merkin by mistake.

  • Daveosaurus,

We're too used to earthquakes here, so we get floods instead. I've already heard anecdotally that they're Southland's worst in 25 years.

Boobquake is spreading. Rudest sex I've ever seen in a Spielberg production tonight. I'm not sure if it's ripping on Americans or Ozzies more that the 30 second orgasm was perfected.

It's cold as a bastard and been hosing down all day here

Meh. Here too. A wash-out. Had to be content with shapeliest long-sleeved top and jeans that actually fit.

Also, I have a persistent ear-worm. "It's a boobquake/ nothing but a boobquake"... to the tune of this, of course:

I think for the experiment to have scientific validity, there will need to be control days where the ladies cover up sorry Ben.

I know someone who's hopefully going to be in the costume department once Spartacus gets back up and running (currently it's delayed until at least August because Andy Whitfield has announced he has non-Hodgkin lymphoma) so I intend to ask her about this, then report back in detail.

Maybe it's just Mr Smooth (shudder). Didn't realise you were referencing this recent news.

Rachel Hunter has returned to Auckland with her daughter for a whirlwind visit. The Kiwi supermodel is here with Renee Stewart as part of a Pantene haircare promotion. The pair will star in a television commercial together reprising Hunter's infamous catchphrase, "It won't happen overnight, but it will happen".
