  • Danielle,

I'm not watching TV, so my life is hologram-free (boo!). I'm refreshing the fuck out of about 10 different Chrome tabs, though...

  • Hadyn Green,

Don't you people have, I dunno, jobs?

Sssshhhhh, Kyle. Don't give us away to The Man!

    Working (surprisingly productively) from home.

  • Eddie Clark,

    Giovanni:

help us, wolf blitzer, you're our only hope

Awesome re Wolf Blizter. Given that I've always associated his mode of speaking with James T Kirk, visions of an unholy US election night special of Star Wars vs Star Trek are forming in my head...

Which of course leads to discussions of whether John McCain is the Emperor or a Romulan...

  • Alan Perrott,

wot, no-one watching rachel and keith on msnbc?

they're streaming live and everything and stuff.

  • Craig Ranapia,

Which of course leads to discussions of whether John McCain is the Emperor or a Romulan...

Feh... McCain is obviously Saul Tigh and could bitch-slap that girly-man James T. Blitzer with one eye, a hangover, a dead wife and a somewhat unexpected new girlfriend and the mother of all identity crises.

But that would mean McCain and Obama are both Cylons. Crap it's that Kang and Kodos debacle all over again!

  • Don Christie,

    Click on that

Apologies, the exact instructions should be "right click on that". Unless you have a Mac, in which case hold your nose, squeeze your eyes shut, press the apple key and click.

And if you are IE...no wait, Obama supporters don't use IE, am I right?

  • Mark Harris,

    From the Guardian:

7.14pm Let the record show that Wolf Blitzer is, now, finally, talking to holograms on CNN. They look like slightly worse versions of the holograms in Star Wars, and while they probably look amazing to Wolf they just look like superimposed images to everyone else. Money well spent, CNN!

heheh, I was thinking "crap comp" when I saw it. Wolf always seemed to be looking down the barrel of the camera on close up, but longshot showed he was looking at her. hmmmm...

Do they have holograms? because if not...(shrug)

  • Hadyn Green,

Obama has Florida by a small margin after...2%

    Wellington • Since Nov 2006 • 2090 posts Report

  • Alan Perrott,

nope, not so much holograms, but they have these spooky CGI romanesque wotsits wot they put all the numbers in.

sadly, way too much chat and such I guess, not enough pridy colours.

  • Don Christie,

Again, does this figure include early votes?

  • Russell Brown,

    TVNZ ...

    2. Please can you scale down the CNN feed by about 5% on the current election special broadcast?
The bottom edge is cut off (on Freeview HD) and one cannot see all the statistics on the screen.
i.e can see the [projected] number of EC votes won by McCain, but not the number won by Obama.

It's actually ABC -- and it's looking nice on a widescreen TV for me.

  • PeterC,

BTW, anyone stuck without TV, I can' t get the CNN stream to work (maybe only works in US?)

But the MSNBC stream seems okay. I'm using the Huffington post link:

Just if anyone hasn't found it already...

  • Rich of Observationz,

This is boring. Like watching a cricket game where nobody scores for 20 overs. We need Aggers: is that a slow medium aeroplane coming in over the White House? Reminds me of the time in '68

  • Eddie Clark,

Aggers doing his "trying to get a leg over" classic commentary would relieve boredom. Maybe a massive freudian slip between Wolfie and John "I'm a serious journalist, really, not the political equivalent of the weather chick" King?

Wha? Are you watching TVONE on Freeview HD? It's CNN on my telly :) and currently shows Mccain 8, Obama (falls off the screen!).Frustrating!
