I believe the Albert Park foral clock's hands were removed as people would attempt to ride the hands, damaging the mech. -
No clocking on or off then at Albert Park – would that be glide time or flexi time - or timeless?

I generally consider these, which are just starting to open, the best flowers to take close-ups of. Over December I will regularly stop and try different macro style shots.
Each bloom feels like some delicate astronomical model. -

Yes, I and Stella are frankly getting a bit sick of firecrackers still going off in the middle of the night since the beginning of November. They seem louder this year and the dog’s wee claws dig deeper in her efforts to leap into my back. I almost jumped out of my skin at the BOOM!! that goes off from satisfied ignorant neighbours. I’d say something in our defence but they already know my views of their ignorance (I’ve had tree dealings) and it would only satisfy themselves more. Such is the ugly side of humanity. But the crackers for the crackies must be louder this year huh?
Arrrgh! the crackers does my head in!! ;)

How was the Dunedin Sound Exhibition?
I'd call it more of an exhibit than exhibition. Artefacts from the time with some accompanying social history, in a similar way to Dunedin in World War One or other exhibits. So it is presented as a natural part of the collection rather than a one off special event. I suspect this element got media attention more for the bringing the history of the collection into people's immediate past, rather than scope or depth.
Also, being behind traction engines is a cool reason for a slower than expected car trip.
